As a Senior Account Executive, Kathleen Lee brings to Pang Communications over two decades of collective professional experience in the public relations, media, government, hospitality, and nonprofit sectors. She is also the founder of Kathleen Lee Consulting, a resume-writing and career coaching company geared toward helping professionals find their ideal jobs.

Kathleen is active in the Filipino-American community, working as a freelance video journalist for ABS-CBN/The Filipino Channel (TFC)’s ‘Balitang America’ (News America) news program broadcasted on weekdays throughout North America, and a contributing writer for the Fil-Am Courier, Hawaii’s longest-running Filipino-American newspaper.

Prior to joining Pang Communications, Kathleen was a Senior Policy Advisor, and worked with a private firm focused on government affairs in Hawaii. She also served as a researcher for the Hawaii State House of Representative’s Finance Committee during the 2010 legislative session. Kathleen gained public relations experience from one of Hawaii’s top strategic communications firms as an Account Executive, and worked alongside clients like the Polynesian Voyaging Society, Kupu, Verizon Hawaii, and Maunakea Observatories, to name a few. Kathleen has also worked at the YMCA of Honolulu as a Donor Relations Coordinator. Her hospitality background includes managerial positions at the Prince Waikiki as well as various Marriott properties throughout Northern California.

Kathleen has been a member of the Chamber of Commerce of Hawaii’s Young Professionals program since 2013, and has also served as a board member within the City and County of Honolulu’s Neighborhood Board system. She was also as a board member for Hawaii’s Filipino Junior Chamber. Kathleen studied Political Science at San Jose State University, and interned for former California Congressman Mike Honda. Born in the Philippines on an Air Force base and raised in the heart of Silicon Valley in San Jose, California, Kathleen now lives and thrives in Honolulu, and has lived in town for the past nine years. She enjoys running (she has participated in the Honolulu Marathon every year since 2012), hiking, traveling to different countries, and puzzle games.
